How it works
How recommendations work
The picker first checks eligibility: a required tank or healer role, faction restrictions, and available race/class combinations. It then compares broad class traits against your chosen combat style, solo or group plans, preferred complexity, and character fantasy. Your highest-scoring classes are suggestions to explore—not guarantees that you will enjoy them.
Preferences, not power
Scores use transparent editorial judgments about how classes tend to feel. We do not claim to predict raid damage, PvP tier rankings, or player satisfaction.
Close matches matter
Compare your top three classes, read their tradeoffs, and experiment with answers. If you leave everything on default, results are general starter suggestions.
The quiz is independent and not endorsed by Blizzard. Paid guide choices, Amazon links, and donations do not influence your class rankings.

What class should I play in WoW Forever?

Does my race change the recommended class?
We recommend a class first. Then you can choose among races that can actually play that class and fit your chosen faction. Visual style and roleplaying preference are valid reasons to choose a race. See the playable combinations.
Do I need Zygor or RestedXP to level?
No. Both are optional paid tools. If you prefer to explore, you can play without either. If you want guidance, compare the guide styles and current coverage before buying.

Three things worth knowing
Pick your role before your race.
Your class determines whether you can tank, heal, or deal damage and has the biggest effect on day-to-day play. Race matters for fantasy, racials and available pairings.
Friends beat perfect optimization.
Alliance and Horde are different sides. If you already have friends or a guild, match their faction first and choose a compatible class afterward.
Skyborne has an extra requirement.
Skyborne can join either faction, but their available classes differ. Access requires a Heroic Pack or higher; the picker can exclude them entirely.
